The organizers of the Forum-Dialogue are the Public Council of ROSATOM, ROSATOM, the Federal Environmental, Industrial and Nuclear Supervision Service (Rostechnadzor), the Vernadsky Non-governmental Environmental Foundation, and Scientific Research Institute of Environmental Problems. The Dialogue Forum will be held with the support of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Public Council of Rostechnadzor, Interregional Environmental NGOs Green Cross, GreenLife and Greenlight.
The International Forum is traditionally a venue for meetings and discussions between the Russian and foreign experts, representatives of nuclear industry and the public of the most important issues related to the use of nuclear energy. This year the discussions will be focused on the issues of development of environmentally safe nuclear power, including the currently topical questions of decommissioning of nuclear facilities and rehabilitation of the sites. The state’s effective management of the safety of nuclear power will be featured in the Forum’s agenda for the first time. Traditionally, a dialogue with all stakeholders will be organized at the Forum.
