The event has attracted over 500 experts from 31 countries to discuss the future of isotope industry.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, the head of the Rosatom corporation, Sergei Kiriyenko, noted that nuclear medicine relies much on isotopes.

Apart from this, industrial isotopes are widely used in agriculture, archeology, geology, and space exploration.
