On December 1, in Nizhny Novgorod, at the site of the Mayak Academy, with the support of ROSATOM, the Global Impact Conference 2022 (GIC) will be held.
The theme of the Conference is “Education X as a Catalyst of the Future”. The purpose of the Conference is to discuss, together with experts from different countries, working tools to expand access to quality education for those regions and population groups for which these opportunities are limited. Experts from 20 countries of the world will exchange regional experience and practices for the development of education.
The Conference will gather more than 30 experts in the field of education representing India, China, Russia, Turkey, the UAE, Oman, Armenia, Kazakhstan, South Africa, Brazil, Vietnam, Egypt, Latin America and Africa. Among the speakers will be Tatyana Terentyeva, Deputy CEO for Human Resources of ROSATOM; Professor Abdullatif Al Shamsi, Former Rector and President at the Higher Colleges of Technology, Founder of MetaVersity; Francisca Nneka Okeke, First female Dean of the Faculty of Physical Sciences at the University of Nigeria; Vladimir Konyshev, Founder and CEO of Neurobotics; Zhao Zhongyuan, Director of the China Center for Technology Transfer of the SCO Member States; and others.
In addition to expert discussions, the GIC 2022 program also includes the final and the selection of the winner of the International Competition for Innovative Projects in the field of education. The GIC sites will host a meeting of the participants of the International Youth Project, Impact Team 2050, which will present an analytical report on what young people from different countries see as the limitations of the education system today and what solutions can make education more attractive to young people (focusing on engineering specialties).
Also, the GIC 2022 program includes an introduction to innovative approaches in school education, “case studies” of successful corporate universities, discussions and round tables.
