On April 16, ANO Rosatom Corporate Academy will hold a round table discussion entitled “Next Generation Nuclear: A Partnership for Development” as part of the ATOOMEXPO 2019 International Forum in Sochi.
The round table will be attended by the following organizations: ITER Organization, the Vienna International Nuclear Competence Center, Universum, Goodnight Consulting, Coca-Cola HBC Russia, Roland Berger, State Atomiс Energy Corporation Rosatom, ANO Rosatom Corporate Academy, and others. In particular, Executive Director of the European Nuclear Education Network (ENEN) Pedro Porras will talk about the leading trends in nuclear education. Vice-President of the International Youth Nuclear Congress Lena Andriolo will share experience of global cooperation between seasoned nuclear countries and newcomers. Director General of ANO Rosatom Corporate Academy Yulia Uzhakina will provide an overview of the best practices in applying the culture of partnerships to work with the younger generation of employees at Rosatom and leading international organizations. The discussion will also touch upon the career preferences of young people in Russia and around the world, examples of overcoming barriers to interaction that exist in the global nuclear industry, the best practices for implementing the culture of partnerships when working with younger audiences both outside and inside organizations.
The roundtable will take place from 10am to 12 noon in the Orange Hall of the Main Media Center on April 16.

Partnership is one of the leading values of today’s youth. In order to maintain a high level of competition, not only must organizations be permeated with the culture of partnership from the inside, but they must also act as reliable partners for each other when attracting young people to work with them. The success of the nuclear industry’s struggle for young specialists in an era of global transformation depends on this.
Since its establishment in 2012, ANO Rosatom Corporate Academy has evolved from a specialized educational organization into a reliable partner of Rosatom in the implementation of projects supporting the business and has trained over 70,000 employees. The key areas of the Academy’s activities are determined by the strategic priorities of the development of the nuclear industry. The main topic for this year’s Forum is “Nuclear for better life.” For the first time in the history of the Forum, the business programme has been compiled by the International Programme Committee, which is made up of: Director-General of the OECD Nuclear Energy Agency William Magwood, Director General of the World Nuclear Association (WNA) Agneta Rising, former Chairman of the World Association of Nuclear Operators Jacques Régaldo and former Director-General of the OECD Nuclear Energy Agency Luis E. Echávarri, among others. ATOMEXPO 2019 participants (heads of state structures, major companies and public organizations, as well as international experts) will discuss global issues in the development of carbon-free energy, a responsible approach to the environment and natural resources, green investments and international partnerships for sustainable development. Among the key topics at roundtables are: the non-energy application of nuclear and radiation technologies in industry, science, medicine and agriculture; digital solutions for infrastructure projects; knowledge management; and the development of human capital assets. A number of important documents are expected to be signed on the side-lines of the Forum, including agreements on strategic cooperation and partnership, commercial contracts and documents on the development of projects. The exhibition will feature a wide range of advanced nuclear technologies and new products, including products that are not related to the energy industry. The exhibition area will take up over 13,000 square metres.
