10th Anniversary International Forum ATOMEXPO 2018, Sochi, 14th May 2018: JSC OTEK — a division of the State Atomic Energy Corporation ROSATOM and industry integrator operating in the Smart City business segment — has signed long-term strategic partnership agreements with Gazprombank, Sberbank and Sovcombank on investment activities targeted at development, reconstruction and increasing management efficiency of housing and public utilities in the cities of ROSATOM’s network presence, as well on joint implementation of investment projects, including public-private partnership (PPP) projects in the housing and public utilities sector as part of developing the Smart City business segment.
The First Deputy Director General, Director for Development and International Business of the State Atomic Energy Corporation ROSATOM, Mr. Kyrill Komarov, who was present at the signing session, announced: “ROSATOM, represented by OTEK, commences implementation of Smart City projects supported by federal public bodies and major banks. By “Smart City” we mean digital modernization of life support facilities — water, heat and power supply; creating a digital urban infrastructure enabling an efficient utilization of resources and management of all systems from a single hub; transparent control by consumers and engagement of residents into interaction with urban systems. The existing and perspective technologies from the nuclear industry will be taken as a basis for Smart City solutions. And agreements we managed to reach with our financial partners provide a reliable basis for achieving these goals”.
Enterprises of the State Atomic Energy Corporation ROSATOM have acquired successful experiences in implementation of such Smart City elements as applied road traffic and environmental situation monitoring systems, systems for monitoring of housing / public utilities and processing of requests submitted by residents, systems for construction facility modelling and municipal facility construction life cycle management. The four cities where ROSATOM enterprises are operating — Sossnovy Bor, Sarov, Novouralsk, Glazov — were included into the list of pilot cities for further implementation of Smart City package of activities set out by the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Utilities of the Russian Federation.
