JSC Atomenergoproekt (company of the Engineering Division of ROSATOM) and the Ministry of Construction and Development of Agglomeration of Nizhny Novgorod Region have concluded an agreement on cooperation in development and promotion of information model technologies in the field of industrial and civil construction in the region.
In accordance with the agreements, the Engineering Division and the Ministry will interact during implementation of social and educational programs in the field of information modeling in Nizhny Novgorod region.
The first joint project was educational online project BIM-management (digital designing) which attracted participants from over 20 countries. Within the framework of the project, the participants acquire knowledge and practical skills creating a 3D model of Nizhny Novgorod.
“Nizhny Novgorod region was the first region in Russia where such unique project is being implemented”, pointed out Marina Rakova, Minister of Construction and Development of Agglomerations of Nizhny Novgorod region. “Over 1700 people from different countries participated in creation of the digital model. The obtained results became a wonderful present for the 800th anniversary of the city.”
It is planned that the digital model will become a tools for planning the city development, it will make it possible to forecast the efficiency of changes in the territory prior to construction of new facilities.
“This project helped us make the knowledge and skills in the field of BIM accessible to everyone”, pointed out Alexey Agafonov, Director for Support and Development of Design Operations of JSC Atomenergoproekt , Head of Industry Expertise Center of Competences “Engineering Design”. - I believe that the project has been successfully completed: The participants received practical experience, and the digital model that they created will stay and develop. Observing how the participants supported each other in the course of the project, I became confident that we have reached yet another goal - we have developed a community of professionals”.
The results of the first international educational project for BIM-management will be summed up this April.
In October 2020, over 2 500 people submitted applications for participation in the project, among them there are students of higher and secondary educational institutions, employees of nuclear industry and representatives of various companies (construction, design, etc.) from different countries.
The six-month training course on “BIM Management Basics” program has allowed participants to improve their skills in using specialized programs and develop professional competencies in BIM technologies.
The project was organized with the support of Nizhny Novgorod Regional Department, Nizhny Novgorod Construction University and Vysotskiy consulting with support of the Ministry of Construction and Development of Agglomerations of Nizhny Novgorod Region Autodesk, Renga Software, Lumion, Hexagon, Trimetari consulting, TBS software, CSoft.
