Russia and Uzbekistan have signed a cooperation agreement to build a nuclear power plant in the republic. The signing ceremony was held after the negotiations of the prime ministers of Russia and Uzbekistan.
 The documents were signed by Head of the Cabinet of Russia Dmitry Medvedev and Head of the Government of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov.

Besides, the parties signed the Protocol to the 19th Meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission for Economic Cooperation.
