In October, with active participation of JSC Angarsk Electrolysis Chemical Combine (AECC) and JSC Production Association Electromechanical Plant (PA ECP), ROSATOM organized training courses for inspectors of the Bureau for Verification in Iran of the IAEA Department of Safeguards.
The training was organized at AECC and PA ECP. It was attended by representatives of 12 world countries: Belgium, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Morocco, Romania, Russia, Tunisia, Turkey, and Ukraine.
During the training the trainees familiarized with features of the safeguards application at peaceful gas centrifuge machines and stable isotope production installations. Besides, they visited industrial sites of AECC and PA ECP where they saw operation of high technology equipment.
The inspectors highly appraised the training quality, including prepared methodologies, and the practical constituent of the training. The foreign participants believe the knowledge gained at the training will help them in verification measures in Iran in the framework of the implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action regarding to Iran’s Nuclear Program.

Similar courses were organized last year. The IAEA Secretariat highly appraised their conduct level and requested to hold such courses again.
