According to Alexander Palamarchuk, the Director for Nuclear, Radiation, Industrial and Fire Safety, Occupational Safety and Environmental Protection - ASE JSC Inspector General, the Lost Time Injury Frequency Rate (LTIFR) decreased in the division last year from 0.06 to 0.02. There were no accidents, fires or incidents with radiation sources recorded at any site.
The amount of 1.312 billion rubles was allocated for labor safety measures in 2020. These funds aim to provide anti-epidemic measures, install passive safety equipment at construction sites, train personnel in the basic principles of safe operations and introduce advanced technologies, such as VR simulators, video monitoring.
“The construction site has always been and will be a place of increased danger. We have many risk factors here, such as working at height, operating with power tools and lifting equipment and much more. It is essential that every divisional manager should be aware of areas of risks and understand what needs to be done to eliminate them. The formal approach to labor safety is unacceptable,” Alexander Lokshin pointed out when addressing the participants of the event.
In the outcome of the meeting, it was decided to intensify the work on the collection and analysis of data on the cases and causes of occupational injuries, to expand the introduction of technical means to improve labor safety at the construction sites of the division.
