Opening the office is a milestone for Rosatom in expanding collaboration with Egypt partners.
ROSATOM, a global technological leader and leading company of the global nuclear energy industry working in 60 countries, inaugurates today the office in Cairo, Egypt. This momentous event marks a significant milestone in ROSATOM's commitment to strengthening its partnership with Egypt, paving the way for new avenues of collaboration in nuclear and non-nuclear sectors, such as medical equipment and nuclear medicine, digital solutions, infrastructure projects and others.
The ceremony was attended by Eng. Mohamed Ramadan Badawy, Vice Board Chairman for Operation and Maintenance, Nuclear Power Plants Authority, Dr. Mohamed Dwiddar, Project Manager of El-Dabaa NPP Construction Project, Alexey Kononenko, ASE JSC Vice-President - Director for NPP Construction Project, Dr. Ahmed Elatik, Head of the Representative office of JSC “ASE” in Cairo, Alexey Tevanian, Trade Representative of the Russian Federation in Egypt, Marat Gatin, Head of the Russian Cultural Centers in Egypt, along with ROSATOM’s distinguished business partners in Egypt.
Murad Aslanov, the Director of ROSATOM's country office in Egypt, expressed his enthusiasm about the opening: “Today, we celebrate a significant milestone in our journey towards closer collaboration with Egypt. The opening of Rosatom office in Egypt is a logical continuation of the longstanding relationship between the two nations, which have enjoyed strong diplomatic and economic ties for decades. It also marks a new chapter of cooperation, particularly in the field of nuclear and non-nuclear energy, strengthening our partnership and fostering knowledge exchange in various sectors”.
During the event, Murad Aslanov gave a presentation of ROSATOM’s global cutting-edge technologies and solutions as well as the company’s leading technical capabilities emphasizing ROSATOM’s commitment to sustainable development and international cooperation. “Looking ahead, ROSATOM sees a promising future in the Egyptian market. Of particular significance is ROSATOM's ongoing construction of the El Dabaa Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) in Egypt. This project, the largest and most advanced NPP initiative on the African continent, demonstrates the depth of cooperation between the two countries, stated Aslanov. "We are confident that our collaboration with Egypt will yield remarkable results and drive the country's sustainable development agenda, support Egypt's ambitious goals and contribute to its overall progress", he concluded.
