ROSATOM State Corporation believes in success of the Akkuyu NPP construction project in Turkey which is going to be the foundation of Russian-Turkish economic co-operation, stated Kirill Komarov, First Deputy Director General, ROSATOM, in the course of the ATOMEXPO-2017 briefing. "We are sure that this is going to be a very successful project. It will build a solemn basis for economic relationship between Russia and Turkey ", — said Komarov.
This being said the project has to be highly stable, he mentioned. "It is crucial to make this project as independent from politics as possible ", — added the First Deputy Director of ROSATOM.
Moscow, June 19. – In Moscow, within the framework of the IX International Atomic Energy Forum ATOMEXPO-2017, an agreement was signed on the main conditions for the entry of Turkish energy companies Cengiz Holding, Kolin Insaat и Kalyon Insaat into the shareholders of the project company JSC AKKUYU NUCLEAR, which will build and operate the first nuclear power plant in Turkey
Sum of this potential deal is not disclosed, however it is declared to be the largest investment of foreign companies in the projects of the Russian Federation, which are being implemented beyond Russia’s boarders, and the world's largest private investment in nuclear energy for the past 17 years.
