On June 3, 2021, at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum ROSATOM and ROSCOSMOS (the Russian State Space Corporation) signed a cooperation agreement.
ROSATOM Director General Alexey Likhachev and ROSCOSMOS Director General Dmitri Rogozin signed the document.
The agreement defines key areas of the joint activity, in particular, on the issues of import replacement projects, inter-sectoral transfer of technologies, development of technological and market cooperation in implementation of promising projects.
The parties agreed to develop cooperation in such global areas as digitalization, ecology, and broadening the science and technological potential. The transfer of technologies, as well as exchange of know-how and competences in these areas will help two science-intensive sectors to obtain synergy from the cooperation and create new solutions to effectively implement joint projects.
